Port of Long Beach continues to grow trade in February as cargo throughput reaches new record

The Port of Long Beach saw another wave of growth in trade volume in February! The Port of Long Beach's cargo throughput rose for the ninth consecutive month as retailers shipped their goods ahead of schedule to avoid the upcoming tariffs on certain imported products and materials.

In February, dockworkers and terminal operators handled a total of 765,385 TEUs, an increase of 13.4% over the same month last year. Imported goods increased by 11.8% to 368,669 TEU; EXP goods also increased by 2.9% to 90,026 TEU. Even Quantity of empty containers climbed 19.1% to 306,690 TEU.
